WHAT WENT WRONG |
| My First Page |

| Star Wipe in background |
It just looked really bad. I can't stress that enough. Plus when I opened the page on a mac it didn't work anyway. i just occassionally got the odd stationary star |
| Used points for the links in the frame |
It looked to amateur. That was my main problem with my page. It just looked like I was about 10. I had the writing too big too, by making the writing H5 it looks a lot better. Plus I got rid of those dots which wonderfully reappear later on in my travel section :) |
| Heading on main page |
For some reason, this wouldn't centre, so I just gave up on it. I tried putting spaces before it to centre it, but that still screwed up, so it's in the bin with the dodgy star wipe |
| Had smaller frame on right hand side of screen |
It didn't follow the eye movement - like everything else to do with this page, it just looked odd. No other reason for changing it. |
| Having all the links underneath each other in left frame |
The frame was getting too long. It was ridiculous. So i split the left frame up into 4 seperate pages and linked them using the target="_self" method....that way everything is fine, spaced and dandy. |
| Font |
It was on the default size for ages and it was bugging me why my site looked so bad. Then I must admit, I saw MCS's page and it hit me that my font was too big (thank you MCS). So I changed it to H5, changed it back from courier new (which I had had all my links in). Now my site does't look AS bad....I don't think. |
| Colours |
Originally i had different font colours for each page. I then decided to have the first page similar colours as my origianal opening page was yellow font and blue links....this also appeared in my left frame links. The main problem I'm having with my page is that everything looks too amateur, so by fixing the font i'm hoping I'm fixing the problem |
